The carton itself affects the shipping cost. Couriers To India compares actual scale weight with volumetric weight and can use the higher figure. A large box filled loosely with light items may therefore be priced above its physical weight. Use the smallest strong carton that safely fits the contents and take the final measurements after sealing.
When the box is measured in inches, multiply its sealed length, width and height and divide the result by 139 to obtain volumetric pounds. With centimetres, multiply the three dimensions and divide by 5,000 to obtain volumetric kilograms.
For example, an 18 x 18 x 16 inch carton produces a volumetric weight of about 37.3 lb. If the box physically weighs 29 lb, the larger dimensional figure can become the chargeable weight.
Use a rigid carton, remove empty space and immobilise the contents. For accepted fragile items, our packing guidance recommends at least 8 cm of bubble wrap. Large dimensions can also trigger additional handling, so measure the sealed box rather than the flat carton.

The receiver may describe the destination by city, district or village, but the six-digit PIN code is what lets us check the actual delivery area. Couriers To India currently states that its India delivery network covers more than 19,000 active PIN codes. Give us the exact PIN before sending so any remote-location conditions can be checked.
Remote-area delivery can involve extra time or charges, so provide the exact destination PIN code before the shipment leaves Atlanta rather than checking the final area after dispatch.
