What CTI is
  • freight forwarding agent, not a carrier. CTI coordinates your shipment with DHL, TNT, FedEx, UPS, airlines and their agents.
  • CTI does not control customs, quarantine, duties, taxes, penalties, demurrage or surcharges.
  • Liability for loss, damage or delay is limited (including under the Warsaw Convention).
No insurance included
  • Shipments are not insured by default. You accept the risk of loss, damage or theft in transit.
  • Buy cover separately if you want protection. Add-on insurance is governed by the insurer’s own terms and PDS.
Prohibited items
  • Do not send: cash, batteries, flammables, protein powders, vitamins, medication, SIM cards, dangerous goods, or anything illegal or restricted.
  • If any prohibited item is found, the entire shipment is returned at $85 per piece. Shipments detained by Indian Customs cannot be returned or destroyed.
  • CTI and its agents may inspect, hold or refuse any shipment.
Payment
  • Full payment is taken at pickup in the origin country. Payment after delivery is not offered.
  • If payment fails, your package is held in transit until it clears.
  • All charges, including duties and taxes, must be settled within 48 hours of pickup. Debt recovery costs (admin, legal, agents) are added to any unpaid amount.
Customs, duties and taxes
  • Not included in your quote. They are set by the Government of India (or the destination country) and must be paid in full before delivery.
  • If the shipment is held for unpaid duties, storage is charged every night.
  • The sender is liable for all duties, taxes and levies if the receiver does not pay, regardless of the incoterm on the booking.
  • You are responsible for all permits, licences and clearances before dispatch.
No returns or refunds
  • Once picked up, a shipment cannot be returned to you and no refund is issued, in any circumstance.
Delivery time
  • All delivery times are estimates. Customs, weather and logistics can delay a shipment; CTI is not liable for delays.
  • CTI may move, divert, delay or cancel a shipment as origin or destination requirements demand. Extra charges may apply for new biosecurity, political or environmental conditions after pickup.
How weight is billed
  • You pay for the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight.
  • Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 5000 = volumetric kg
Excess baggage
  • If your package is classed as excess baggage and moved to personal (cargo) clearance, you must attend Indian Customs in person with your original passport. Extra clearance fees may apply.
Communication and conduct
  • All invoices, customs documents, notices and collection notices are sent to the email address you provide and are deemed delivered once sent.
  • Abusive behaviour toward staff may result in your shipment being held until a written apology is received.
  • Wilful online defamation is prohibited and may result in liability for damages.
